Birr Military Historical Group Tour of Gallipoli - September 2005

This September the Birr Military History Group visited Gallipoli in Turkey where, in 1915, Allied and ANZAC forces
attempted to end the stalemate and carnage of the Western Front.
Planning for this trip started in early 2005 and the effort and detail that was put into the planning, and financing of the trip by Derek Coulter, Joe Breen and Brendan Mooney paid off handsomely with a genuinely "Hassle Free" trip that lasted 8 days and visited most of the major battle sites of the Gallipoli Campaign as well as many historical and archeological sites in Istanbul and Troy.
