Ormond Flying Club
| The Ormand Flying Club has been around since 1970 and is run by a group of aviation enthusiasts from and around Birr. They operate from Birr Airfield, originally called Birr View Air Strip. The area has always been closely linked with aviation for many years going back to the British Army Strip which was quite near the present field. The Club is a Registered Training Facility for the new JAR PPL Licence. | |
