Birr Library Tree of Knowledge Winners

The winners of the Tree of Knowledge competition held by Birr Library were Chanelle Keegan, Niamh Donogher, Alex Carroll-Tully and Cian Dolphin-Murray. They were each presented with their prizes, a young tree, by Martina Needham of Birr Library.

One tree can absorb as much carbon in a year as a car produces while driving 26,000 miles.

Tree of KnowledgeThe Birr Library Tree of Knowledge is slowly growing leaves through the efforts of local children. Children are being asked to colour the leaves and write an interesting fact on the back of the leaf.

We will publish more pictures when the Tree of Knowledge Project is finished together with some of the interesting facts from the children.
